“Frame your mind to mirth and merriment,
which bars a thousand harms and lengthens life”

Join us for an evening of fellowship and friendship

The Walter Carrington Educational Trust and The Constructive Teaching Centre take great pleasure in welcoming you to a winter’s evening of conviviality, Shakespeare and song to celebrate FM’s birth and the special affection he held for the Bard.

A selection of items of note from the Trust’s archive shall also be on display. And for those of you who enjoy a raffle, there will be plenty of prizes to be won.

All proceeds shall benefit The Walter Carrington Educational Trust, the charitable activities of which include maintaining the Constructive Teaching Centre’s premises, managing the archive, and administering the Bursary Fund. Any donations to the WCET will be gratefully received.

Entry costs £25 and shall include entertainment, a complimentary refreshment upon arrival and nibbles.

We will also be printing a souvenir brochure, which will feature rare material from the WCET archive, including pictures and reviews from The Alexander Times, produced by the pupils of The Little School, and the original programmes of FM’s 1933 production of The Merchant of Venice at Sadler’s Wells and The Old Vic. The souvenir brochure is £5 and will be printed on demand. If you would like one, please purchase it with your ticket.
