The Constructive Teaching Centre

The Constructive Teaching Centre was founded by Walter Carrington in 1960 and continues to be run by Carrington trained teachers. We offer a unique individually oriented program for both new students as well as qualified teachers who wish to continue their professional development.

As a STAT approved training course, our graduates set the standard for excellence in teaching the Alexander Technique around the world. Search our teacher finder to locate one in your area.

The Constructive Teaching Centre provides:

Full time teacher training leading to a qualification;
Post graduate training for teachers;
Weekly attendance at the school for teachers and those interested who have been having lessons with a teacher;
Attendance 1 day per week for teachers and those interested who have been having lessons with a teacher;
Private lessons with senior teachers for members of the public.
