The Walter Carrington Educational Trust
The Walter Carrington Educational Trust was established in recognition of Walter Carrington’s contribution to the Alexander Technique. Its purpose is to continue the work his teacher training programme in the Alexander Technique and care for his extensive archive collection on a charitable basis.
Walter Carrington (1915-2005) founded the training programme, the Constructive Teaching Centre, in 1960. In 2010 the training school and its associated activities became a charity, and the Trust established the Alexander Technique centre in Imperial Wharf in 2011.
