For Alexander teachers and riding instructors who are experienced with the Alexander Technique.

With Gloria Pullan and Joe Searby

This workshop will look at the fundamentals of riding. We will look at the seat, the different gaits of the horse (and understanding the reasons for doing crawling). We will cover what is meant by freedom when riding and being part of the movement, as well as some of the misconceptions riders often have, and why they develop habits (which causes backpain and stiffness). We will also cover why saddle work is excellent for singers and musicians (feel free to come and sing/or play your instrument).

Theory will be mixed with practical work, and each participant will have approximately 15 minutes on Robocob, the riding simulator, under Gloria’s supervision. Joe Searby will assist with hands-on work.

£60. Max 8 people. Last day for booking is 13 March. To book email CTC.

Saturday 21 March, 1:30 – 5:00 pm.
